Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Digital Nomad Visa and the Non-Lucrative Visa?

The Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) is for remote workers and freelancers who earn income from outside Spain. The Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) is for people with sufficient passive income who do not intend to work in Spain. We assess which is right for your situation in the onboarding step.

When is the success fee charged?

The €600 success fee is charged only when your visa is granted or your residence authorisation is formally issued by the relevant Spanish authority.

Does this package include document apostille or sworn translation?

Document compliance guidance is included, but if your case requires an extensive apostille and translation workflow, we recommend pairing this package with our Documents Pack Support.

Where do I apply — consulate or in Spain?

It depends on your route and your current location. Some routes must be applied for at a Spanish consulate in your home country; others can be initiated or completed in Spain. We confirm the correct path in the onboarding step.
